Moderate to Advanced Class
These classes are designed for students that are familiar with the proper alignment of postures. Added to many of the standard postures are more challenging ones, Headbalance (Salamba Sirsasana), Forearm Balance (Pinca Mayurasana), Upward Bow (Urdhva Dhanurasana), and Shoulderstand (Salamba Sarvangasana). Modifications are always taught to accommodate the many levels of the students in attendance.
Here you will learn yoga postures. We take one pose at a time, focusing on anatomical alignment. You will learn foundational yoga postures that can be modified to work with your ability. We focus on what you CAN do, and not what you may not be able to do...yet! Great for Seniors, those new to yoga, or people with injuries.
Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. Props are used for support the body so that you can hold poses for longer, allowing you to open your body through passive stretching. The postures are usually adapted from supine or seated yoga poses with the addition of blocks, bolsters, and blankets to eliminate unnecessary straining.
Singing Bowl Meditation
Join Adria for a guided meditation. Class will be accompanied with soothing music and the positive musical sounds of Himalayan singing bowls. This class runs in coordination with the restorative class before it. If you take the restorative class, you'll receive a $3 discount on the Singing Bowl Meditation class.
Gentle Vinyasa Yoga
Students gently move from one pose to the next. Modifications are offered.
Multi Level Vinyasa Yoga
Students flow through a dynamic sequence of poses. This advanced practice offers challenging and powerfully sustained asanas.
